Home About Wan Program Visit Venue Our Team History International Development Members 鄭詠元 Back As a contracted playwright (Saxian co.), Cheng joined Shinehouse Theatre in 2006 and has maintained his career as a stage performer for about three years. In 2010, he began to devote his work in writing of film and television productions. In 2014, he worked as a screenwriter in KimKong Puppet Show. During that time, he also contributed in many popular puppet show lyrics. He has more than ten years of professional writing experience. 計畫理念 The Lost Civilization is the revelation of a civilization that dwells in the ocean depths of the world of Clorofilla. With the same interactive approach of Clorofilla, this project aim to explore new linguistic possibilities and to portray the multidimensional nature by which human beings perceive and experience the environment. The Lost Civilization aims to address the unsolved social conflicts of our age providing narrative and mystical visual solutions to them. The studio would be used all the 10 days each month to produce the music of the performance and record the tracks. After one week from the start of residency would be provided the plan (discussed together) of the work and goals to achieve, together with the plan of the workshops. Workshop proposal: Audiovisual tool for interactive performance (overview of different software for audiovisual performance and live demonstration). Body Mapping and Optical tracking modules: playing sounds and interact with the virtual world through leap motion Exploration of the virtual world of Clorofilla: how to build a metaverse through real time graphic engine and audiovisual interaction 5) In the ShineHouse Residence I expect to focus on the new project and get in touch with the local artistic scene, in order to merge the new experiences into the project of Niagara. I expect to release the new journey of Clorofilla in a final performance to show to the audience at the end of the residency. The Camp week workshop would allow collaboration with other artists that is one of my main points of interest in the residency' program. 《毛皮瑪麗》（毛皮のマリー）為日本劇作家寺山修司所創作劇本； 故事從一位男扮女裝的男同志瑪麗，養育沒有血緣關係的兒子開始，如同將含苞花瓣粗暴層層剝開的故事推進，最終母子如何面對彼此？ 2019｜Taiwan Opera Center Small Performance Hall man in woman's fur Mary and intertwined time and space Falling like a rose Mary and his lovers marching on lies and facing truth "Fur Mary" (fur のマリー) was written by the Japanese playwright Shuji Terayama; the story begins with a gay male disguised as a woman, Mary, raising an unrelated son, as if the budding petals are roughly peeled off layer by layer. As the story progresses, how will mother and son face each other in the end? 2019 coincides with the 35th anniversary of Shuji Terayama's creation of "Fur Mary". At the beginning, Terayama asked the audience questions with sharp brushstrokes and distinctive characters. It was the first time that he translated and officially performed in Taiwan. Shinehouse Theatre was founded in 2006, Taipei, whose creations range from literature adaptation to social awareness all the way to the city; from reinterpreting classic literature through theatre, to concern our community as a co-living group, to document the change of cities. Recently, they based themselves in Wanhua. They aim to reflect contemporary society through each of its productions, as well as documenting our present environment. Based in Wanhua for many years, Shinehouse Theatre focuses on social issues, using local ingredients as one of their main motivations for their creations. In their “Ferry Mengjia” series, they have street interview with local homeless and sex workers, documenting their life stories, seeking for the truth beyond standard stereotype impressions. In their Armageddon Trilogy, they discuss about the aggression of dominant cultures, civil rights, personal relationship with the society, and various aspects of humanity, which ends up in a series of published plays. In 2019, Shinehouse Theatre hosts the “Want-to-Dance” festival. Through unconventional theatre spaces in Wanhua, the three-day festival leads to an exchange in dance, with a total of 30 domestic and international groups contribute to more than 60 shows , simultaneously presented in 6 different locations. Shinehouse Theatre also seeks expanding abroad recently, including art festivals in Shanghai, Bangkok, Japan, and many other places. In 2019, they are attending the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Team Members 成員介紹 陳家誼 Member, marketing executive and actress of Shinehouse Theatre. She graduated from National Taiwan University of Arts, majored in drama, and devoted into theatre performance afterward. Her past performances include: “The Woman and The Butcher” (M.O.I Production), San-Chin development project for actors (Yang’s Ensemble), “The 366th Night” (Biu Theatre), and “Yerma” (TIFA, Theodoros Terzopoulos).
